A prison of love

He is looking out for her
In a place dark,
Trying to feel her presence,
Trying to recall her essence,
And he longs for not much-
But a glimpse,
Of her beautiful face, and her smile.
For he has spent endless moments
Each in pain; without her,
And in any of the next moments
He shall go insane; without her.
His soul is trapped in a monument
Built of her memories,
A prisoner chained in love,
Linked by joys and miseries,
And it can never escape,
For his heart is bound;
By a promise that can’t be broken,
A promise of eternal love.
